Tax Freedom Day is One Day Later This Year

by

Via WebCPA

Each year, the Tax Foundation calculates the date of “Tax Freedom Day” by taking the official government figure of total tax collections and dividing it by the nation’s total income.  The resulting percentage is multiplied by the numbers of days in the year to determine how much time taxpayers spend working to pay the tax obligations of our governments.  Taxpayers have to work one day longer to cover those obligations this year.
