No Surprise – U.S. Drops a Spot in Rankings of How Easy it is to Comply with Tax Code

In what is probably no shock to anyone, the U.S. did not stack up well against the 182 other economies measured in a soon-to-be released report by the World Bank, International Finance Corp. and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. The study, called "Paying Taxes 2012," ranked countries on how easy it is to comply with their respective tax codes. The U.S. ranked 69 out of 183 economies and is down one spot from last year, due in part to the efforts of other countries to streamline their tax codes.
